ladySTUDIOS
From 2020-2021, my friend and I launched and ran ladySTUDIOS. A community and brand for Canadian women, by Canadian women.
We commissioned and published original editorial content from Canadian women across essays, interviews, photo stories, and multimedia features. We explored topics ranging from mental health and identity to sustainability, Indigenous voices, gender equality, relationships, and culture, while building a contributor community rooted in lived experience and thoughtful storytelling, and over the course of 12 months published over 77 stories by Canadian women.
As a 2-person team, I oversaw our editorial and creative direction building our visual identity, helping source contributors, and owning our newsletter and social media execution.
